Andrew has worked for the last twenty years as a political adviser, communicator and campaigner to politicians, not-for-profit organisations, charities and large multinationals. From the UK, but now living in Brussels, Andrew has worked with organisations like the Westminster Foundation for Democracy to deliver capacity building programmes in emerging democracies, as well as leading community based grassroots campaigns for organisations like the Federation of Small Businesses. He is currently working on a project to equip young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with communication skills needed to raise their voice and play an active part in shaping the world around them. Andrew's interest in sortition, citizens' assemblies and more deliberative forms of decision making, stems from his first hand experience of how politics today, particularly in the UK's adversarial system, is failing the people and communities it claims to serve.
