ACTion with Communities in Cumbria Community Inquiry

 

 

 

Thank you for your interest in the ACTion with Communities in Cumbria Community Inquiry.

This Inquiry is aimed at people who live or work in the Parishes of Above Derwent, Borrowdale, Buttermere, and Keswick (for a map of each Parish, please click on the name of the Parish).

The Inquiry will look at the following questions:

 "Is this a good place to live and work? How could it better?"

The inquiry will be held on the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday 15 April, 7.00 – 9.00pm
  • Saturday 18 April, 10.00am – 3.00pm
  • Wednesday 22 April, 7.00 - 9.00pm
  • Wednesday 29 April, 7.00 - 9.00pm
  • Wednesday 6 May, 7.00 - 9.00pm
  • Wednesday 13 May, 7.00 - 9.00pm
  • Wednesday 20 May, 7.00 – 9.00pm
  • Wednesday 3 June, 7.00 – 9.00pm
  • Wednesday 10 June, 7.00 – 9.00pm
  • Saturday 20 June, 10.00am – 3.00pm
  • Wednesday 24 June, 7.00 – 9.00pm

Everyone who takes part and attends all 10 sessions will receive £500 in vouchers as a thank you for your time. If there is anything we can do to help you to take part, we are happy to discuss this with you. Please register for the event whatever your situation, and someone will be in touch if you are selected to take part.

  • We will share all your details with ACTion with Communities in Cumbria, the organisation running this event. They will make a separate data agreement with you if you are selected to take part. We use the following details in our democratic lottery process, to select a group of people that broadly represents the entire community.

What is your date of birth?

Occupation groupings:
  • Not in the labour force (Other): Unemployed, caring responsibilities, long-term disability; any other reason for not being in the labour force.
  • Operators and elementary occupations: Process, plant, machine, construction, transport operatives; elementary process, couriers, cleaning, storage and other services.
  • Professional occupations and technicians: Managers, directors, senior officials, scientists, engineers, health, teaching, legal, business, media, information technology and other professionals and technicians.
  • Service occupations: Administrative, secretarial, caring and leisure services; sales, customer, hairdressing, housekeeping.
  • Skilled trades: Agriculture, metal, vehicle, electrical, construction, building, textile, printing, hospitality trades.
  • Student in full or part-time education.
