Job Vacancy - International Operations Co-Director

Sortition Foundation is looking for an experienced International Operations Co-Director to spearhead the development of our operations function. This role will design and implement the operational infrastructure that will support our campaigning and growing portfolio of work across the UK, Australia and the EU.

We are looking for someone who is strategic - they can design and build high functioning systems across different operational areas and in different geographies. We are also looking for someone who can roll their sleeves up and problem solve live operational issues and put in place interim solutions, whilst longer-term operational systems are designed and implemented.

You will work out which operational systems we can outsource and which we want to keep in-house. Subject to funding, this could include hiring more operational staff and / or managing external contractors that manage aspects of our operations.  You will also work out which operations functions can remain centralised and which are best situated in-country.

You will do all of this in alignment with our democratic model of cooperative collaboration, made up of working groups focused on different areas of operations.

So if you are excited by the prospect of building out an international operations function in a growing, collaborative, mission-driven organisation, then please apply!

We acknowledge that people from a number of communities are underrepresented in our team and in the wider deliberative democracy movement, and we’re committed to addressing this. If you believe you would bring greater diversity to our team, we’re keen to hear from you. If you would like to speak to someone about the role, then please contact [email protected] with "ATTN: Brett / International Operations Co-Director" in the subject line.
