Roz King

Project Manager (Australia)

Roz has lived, studied and worked for the majority of her life on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung people in Naarm, Melbourne. After completing her BA (Hons) in Philosophy and GradDipEd at the University of Melbourne, Roz worked as a primary and secondary school philosophy teacher for several years at the Candlebark School, Preshil, Virtual School Victoria and Melbourne Grammar School, where she enjoyed engaging students in deliberative processes to explore life’s big questions.

Roz is delighted to work as a Project Manager in the Australian branch of the Sortition Foundation, as this work enables ordinary citizens to take part in deliberative processes in order to make meaningful contributions to public policy.  When not at work, she likes to connect with family, friends and the natural world, preferably while camping in forests or exploring the ocean.
