Greater Manchester Community Organiser

Beth lives in Manchester with her giant puppy. She’s happiest outdoors — wild swimming, hiking and generally feeling a bit windswept!

She’s a passionate organiser, and gets a real buzz from seeing people discover their own power and use it to make change. Beth enjoys creating spaces where people can step outside their usual bubbles, really listen to one another and work together to find meaningful ways forward. She’s excited to be helping build a movement for better democracy.

Having worked in policy and influence, with local government, as well as through community organising and participation, Beth has seen first-hand that decisions are stronger when they’re shaped by people with lived experience and deep local knowledge. For her, there’s nothing quite like the sense of agency, community ownership and connection that comes from people working together to have a real say in what happens around them.
