David Jubb

David volunteers for the foundation as a co-director, supporting on fundraising, governance and strategy for up to a day per week. His professional background is in the cultural sector where he was artistic director and chief executive of Battersea Arts Centre from 2004-2019. He was also Chair of Kneehigh Theatre from 2008-2013; part of a collective of people who supported the development of What Next? movement from 2010; he was inaugural Chair of the London Theatre Consortium from 2012-2015; he was a member of the inaugural Advisory Council for the Creative Industries Federation from 2015-2016; he was a panellist on the inquiry into the Civic Role of Arts Organisations by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation from 2017-2018; and he was a member of Arts Council England’s Ten Year Strategy External Reference Group from 2018-2019. He is a huge supporter of the Sortition Foundation’s cause to institutionalise sortition and Citizens’ Assemblies in to local and national democratic processes.
