Participant video instructions

We want to spread the word about citizens' assemblies - and there's no better way than hearing from people who've been through the process. Thanks for being part of it! Here's what we need you to do:

Set up your phone

1. Set up your phone to airplane mode, which you can find in your phone settings. This is to prevent you being interrupted by calls and alerts.

2. Lighting - make sure you're in a location with lots of light, ideally natural light. Choose a location without distractions in the background.

3. Keep your phone stable by using a selfie stick or securing your phone on something solid (could be a shelf, or a pile of books, for example)

4. Shoot in landscape (horizontal, rather than vertical).

5. Please ensure you have your head, shoulders and torso in the shot, as per the photo below. Centre yourself in the frame and look directly into the camera lens on your phone.

Tell your story in 3 minutes max

Got this far? Great! Now answer the following two questions, and while you're talking, imagine you are talking to a friend.

Be yourself!

1. What impact did the experience of taking part in a citizens' assembly have on you?

2. How would you summarise the experience in one or two sentences?
