For far too long, our political system has been run by a narrow slice of society who are out of touch with ordinary people like you and me. We believe that for politics to work for people like us, it has to involve people like us.
We also believe that to give ordinary people – selected like a jury in citizens’ assemblies – real power requires a movement of ordinary people too big to ignore.

The House of Lords is the clearest symbol that our political system is outdated and in urgent need of an upgrade. It’s the biggest parliamentary chamber in the world outside of Beijing - packed with people nominated for party loyalty and their donations (often former MPs) not their real-world experience.
To upgrade our politics our campaign plan is:
- To establish a permanent and powerful citizens’ assembly in Greater Manchester,
- Spread permanent regional assemblies all across Britain,
- Replace the archaic House of Lords with a House of Citizens.
By raising £20,000 we’ll be able to grow our movement, push for regional assemblies, and build the call to Scrap the Lords and replace it with a House of Citizens. These citizens’ assemblies will give nurses, engineers, shopkeepers, teachers, and business people a 🎫 Golden Ticket 🎫to participate in making sure our laws are sensible and fair. They’d be selected like a jury, ensuring ordinary people have a fair say in the important decisions that affect our lives!
