This year Sortition Foundation and Electoral Reform Society Scotland will be taking the campaign to see a House of Citizens in Scotland to the autumn conferences of the two co-operating parties in Scottish Government, the SNP and the Scottish Greens. During the sessions we will explore what a people-powered response to the climate crisis could look like.
Participants will hear from Katie Gallogly-Swan, Policy Coordinator at the Development Policy Center & UNCTAD and Brett Hennig, co-director of Sortition Foundation. Participants will get a chance to discuss what some of the most controversial areas are for Scotland to reach net zero, and hear about why we are championing a House of Citizens for Scotland.
Key dates and times:
Saturday 11th of September, 12.45pm. SNP Conference (online)
Saturday 9th October, 2.45-3.45pm, Scottish Greens Conference (in-person and online)
